I’m back home in GA now and I’m continuing to decompress and process this past month in Swaziland.  God did incredible things in and through our team and it was a privilege to walk alongside Him in Africa.  One of the most effective ways that I’ve found to process all that’s happened in my heart is to write, however, I didn’t really have time to write while on our trip.  So now I’m revisiting my journal and praying for God to open my eyes to the unseen things He’s been doing in me during this season.  I want to share what’s on my heart here and I know many of you have been asking “when are the Swazi stories coming?”  So this begins the chronicles of Swaziland…

15 June 2008:  Who do you say I am?
During one of our sessions here at training camp, we were guided through an
exercise called a “quick write.”  In this
exercise, we were given a few promptings then directed to write for 30 seconds.  The topics tonight were as follows:

1)  God is…
    2)  God does…
    3)  God will never…

The idea is to spend a few seconds simply writing
whatever comes to mind.  Later as I read
over what I had written, I was reminded of God’s truth.  It’s incredible when I read back over stuff I
wrote and see what lessons God was teaching me then and what kind of stuff I
was going through.

God is… just, loving, pure, real,
righteous, my supply, faithful & true, jealous for my love

God does…equip me
to serve Him, empower me, follow through with His promises, love me
unconditionally

God will never…fail
me, forsake me, leave me alone without a plan, be disappointed in me, take back
one of His promises.
