I was born and raised in a small town in West Texas. I have been blessed by a loving family who supports me in all I do. I graduated from Snyder High School and then went on to college at McMurry University in Abilene, TX. During this time, God grew my heart for missions and my desire to serve Him in the nations. Towards the end of my time at McMurry, God started showing me what was next for me and it involved Adventures In Missions, and more specifically Kenya.
My first experience with AIM came in January of 2005 when I went to Kenya as a First Year Missionary (FYM) participant. During the next 4 months, I became involved in various ministries, built meaningful relationships, and simply fell in love with Kenya. God opened a door for me to return to Kenya on staff, and I remained there for the next 2 years leading FYM teams.
I’ve been living here in Gainesville, GA since September of 2007. While working in the office, I’ve had the opportunity to gain perspective I didn’t have on the field, and new experiences are around every corner. I’ve had the opportunity to work in several different arenas including leadership development and training camps. I’ve also had the privilege of traveling and spending time with our teams in various countries. God continues to stir my heart as he shows me what He’s doing in the nations.
I now work in the area of Field Support for our Real Life department. I love that each week I get to talk to our Real Life leaders on the field and celebrate with them what God is doing.
Everyday I am reminded of the importance of relationships, and I’m digging in with all I have to pour my heart out as I love God and love His people.
