I recently made an impromptu trip home to Texas to be with my
family as we celebrated the life of my grandmother. Granny glorified the Lord through her life
for 80 years and finally went home to be with her Maker.
On my early morning flight home, the Lord started reminded me of great memories
I had with Granny. And for the next 3
days, it was like He was playing a movie in my mind of all the great times
spent with Granny throughout the years.
God is so good and is the One who brings great joy and peace in the midst of
grieving seasons. Family members and
dear friends who hadn’t seen each other in years gathered to celebrate her
life. We shared cherished memories and stories of our favorite days with Granny. She will be greatly missed indeed. I thank the Lord for how He has blessed my
life greatly through

Granny…what a gift!
Kayla,
What a great picture of you with your “Granny” and Grandfather! I know you will miss her, but cherish all those precious memories.
We saw your mom & dad briefly at the Spanish Inn last night as we were leaving. Your mom looked good and said she was feeling good. (I know she recently had thyroid surgery.) Bob asked her about you, and she said that you were home for the funeral…that you were very happy with your current job.
Good to hear about you first hand. You are a blessing to many. We thank you for what you are doing for the Lord.
Love,
Monette
Hi Kayla!
Although the reason for the gathering was so sad, I was so glad to see all of my cousins (1st, 2nd and now 3rd’s):)
I have such warm and wonderful memories of Aunt Peggy with your mom, Aunt Diana and precious David.
I know her legacy lives on through all of you.
God Bless you.
Love,
Brenda
I know how much grandmother’s mean in our lives. They are very special people. I know it was a hard time for you and your family, but it’s awesome to see how God gets us through those times. Love you lots and know I’m praying for you as always. You are one awesome girl and I’m sure your grandmother was so proud of you!
Peggy was a wonderful lady. All my life I have known that she and your Ma-B were the very best of friends and like sisters to each other. I have always loved my “Auntie Peg” and known she was like family to us. I will never forget when your
Pa-B passed away – we were devastated – and we went to the funeral home for the first time to see Daddy, we drove up and Peggy came out the door to meet us. She was right there when we needed her the most with words of comfort, hugs full of love and her sweet caring nature. I loved the sound of her voice and told her several times that I just know that her voice is just like sound of the angels. She was indeed a wonderful lady and meant a lot to me and our family. I will remember her always.
Roomy – I’m sorry for you and your family’s loss. Thanks for sharing the story of God’s faithfulness and love in the midst of this though. It’s a great reminder of just “How He Loves” us. : )
Kayla,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your family has gone through a great deal recently and you all stood strong. The worry and concern for your mom and the passing of your grandmother all in one day. Thank God for your faith in Him. I can only hope that I make as many loving memories and positive impressions with my grandchildren as your grandmother did with hers.

Sweet Kayla,
Bob and I are so sorry for your loss but rejoice for your granny. I hope I influence my grandbabies as positively as she did you so that I can dance with the Lord in Heaven as we look down on them. I had been missing your emails and wondered what was happening. prayer is the best relief in unsurity so that’s what I usually turn to until the answer comes (in whatever form). We love you dearly and are so greatful for your faithfulness!
Continuing in prayer for you and your mission,
Bob and Lara Taft
Kayla,
I am so sorry for your loss. You have such a great part of your Granny to live on in you and others as you live your life as a disciple. A great part of her will live in you – what a blessing God gives us.
Peace be with you,
gail
