These are my Top Ten great memories from my Christmas in Snyder (in no particular order):

1) quality time with the fam

2) playing with Kynlee & being reminded what wonder is through the eyes of a 17 month old
3) the sound of Kynlee in the house- laughter & jabbering & all her fun new words

4) the spirit of competition that’s ignited through game nights w/ Mom & Dad
5) sleeping in & an awesome electric blanket

6) Mom’s incredible cooking

7) when laughter fills the house as we reminisce and tell stories from our childhood

8) watching bowl games with Dad

9) snuggling in the recliner with sleepy Kynlee

10) seeing Papa’s face lighting up as he watched his great granddaughter running around the house

  1. We spent this Christmas with our first great grandchild…she is nearly 6 months old…and so precious.
The older you get, the more you appreciate a baby and what
precious memories you make. Next year she will be up running around, but this year, it was the lights on the tree.
Have a Wonderful 2011 and God Bless!

    Love,
    Patsy

  2. Kayla, so glad you got to enjoy the season with your wonderful family. I am happy to say we got to do that this year as well. The whole family was together and it was WONDERFUL!! My Mom was diagnosed with stg. 4 lung cancer and had a scary health scare the first of October. After several weeks of meds and PT, she came home the first of Nov and has continually improved. She actually got to travel to my sisters home in Weatherford, Ok (75mis.) and enjoyed herself so much. I keep your Aunt Diana updated on my family and ask for continued prayers.
God Bless you in your Life’s work for the Lord.

  3. Have you seen that commercial for Wii (sp?) where the grandma and grandad get to the house and the dad welcomes them and tells them how excited he is to have them there to celebrate the holiday with them (something to that effect). The grandad throws his suitcase at the dad’s chest and says, “Not a chance, buddy.” The next scene is the grandparents whipping them on the Wii. THAT is your family.
Full disclosure: that is probably not really how the commercial goes, but the point is that the grandad is having none of the niceties. I imagine Big Al and Sweet Debbie this way. 🙂
