It's time!
Everything (and probably more) that I need for the next week or so is in this guy....
In a few hours I'll be making my way through security lines & xray scanners to board this guy...
Then approximately for the next 19 hours this will be my view...
Then I'll once again step onto African soil and make my way through the very familiar Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. If my calculations are right, this will be my 17th time to travel through this airport over the past 6 years.
While in Kenya, I'll spend my time with these guys...
...and celebrate all that God is doing in them. For 3 days we'll be doing a mid-trip debrief with them. We'll be looking back on these past 2 months and propelling them into the last 2 months of their trip. We will worship together, dream and set goals, remind them who they are and the authority they carry as they bring Kingdom to the world around them. We'll laugh a lot, drink some amazing coffee from Nairobi Java House, pray a lot, bring challenges to them, and ultimately pour everything we've got into them. We'll continue to sow seeds into these teams and leaders, at the same time we'll see and experience great fruit as we see firsthand all that God is doing in them. They're changing...they're becoming...it's a beautiful process. And I'm honored and privileged to be with them.
The last few days of my trip I will get to see many of my Kenyan friends that I lived with in Kibera from Jan 2005-June 2007. I cannot contain my excitement as I think about seeing them again and am looking forward to catching up after a few years. Expect many stories and pictures to come! :)
Thanks for your prayers! Love you all!
